Answer» Solution :Only a convex MIRROR always form an erect and diminished image behind the mirror between is pole and FOCUS point for all positions of the object placed in front of the mirror. A ray diagram showing the image formatioon of an object AB is shown here. A convex mirror is used as a rear VIEW mirror in automobiles because it gives erect and diminished images of vehicles coming from behind. As a result, it HELPS the driver in having a much wider FIELD of view. |
