At last, Triki recovered and was back with Mrs. Pumphrey. She was very happy and in her excitement said that it was a triumph of surgery The title of the chapter \'A triumph of surgery\' is appropriate as getting Tricki well and energetic was a true victory for the vet. Mrs Pumphrey ahd been pampering her pet silly by overfeeding him. As a result, Tricki had become overweight and lethargic. All that the listless dog needed was some exercise and a balanced diet.
