| Answer» Ans.मतुप् (मत्, वत्) : The Matup affixes are added with the संज्ञा or name. It is added in the sense of \'it has that or that is in it (तदस्यास्त्यस्मिन्निति मतुप्) \' . To express thus meanings the Matup affixes are added with noun, pronoun, adjectives etc.As for example,गुण+मतुप्=गुणवान् .अग्नि+मतुप्=अग्निमत्श्री+मतुप्=श्रीमत्हनु+मतुप्=हनुमत्वधू+मतुप्=वधूमत्मातृ+मतुप्=मातृमत्धनुष्+मतुप्=धनुष्मत् | |
