Answer» Solution :On coating leaves with vaseline, it WOULD abversely affect the plant in following ways, due to closure of stomata : (i) Therewill be no gaseousexchange, henceit will notbe able to photosynthesise as `CO_(2) `cannot enter. (ii)It will not be able to get oxygen from the AIR at NIGHT for respiration. (iii)Since transpirationwill also stop so it will also not be able to take up WATER from the soil.
