Answer» Solution :MITOSIS is a method of CELL division , in which the nucleus divides into two daughter nuclei each containing the same number of chromosomes as the parent nucleus . Mitosis takes place in all body cells which retains same number of chromosomes. Different stages of mitosis : (1) Prophase (2) Metaphase (3) Anaphase(4) Telophase (1) Prophase : (i) In this phase chromosomes condense and get coiled . (ii)They become visible even in LIGHT microscope. (III) Nuvleoli becomes smaller. (iv)Choromosome split lengthwise to from chromatids , connected by centromeres. (v) Nuclear membrane breaks down. (vi) Centrosome containing rod like centrioles, DIVIDE and from ends of spindle .
