1.

reason of slow down of non cooperation movement

Answer» First of all, I would like to say that CBSE needs answers on facts and keywords. So simply writing that \'because it led to violence which was against Gandhi\'s principle\' will not fetch marks. The correct answer is that 1) firstly, boycott of British institutions and goods was a key feature of Non Cooperation Movement. So, people have up wearing imported British clothes and began wearing indian clothes made of Khadi. However, khadi was very expensive than mass produced mill cloth so poor people could not afford to buy it. 2) The boycott of British institutions too posed a problem. For non cooperation movement to be successful, we needed several alternative Indian institutions so that they could be used in place of British ( remember that in cities, teachers and students and lawyers left their jobs in British government...so they needed indian institutions for jobs or else how will they sustain their families) .. However, at that time, indian institutions were slow to come up with. So, people began going back to British government for jobs and education. So, Non Cooperation movement gradually slowed down...
Because it lead to violence....but Mahatma Gandhi was against of violenece...so he called off the movement
