Rohit wants to have an erect image of an object, using a converging mirro of focal length 40 cm. (i) Specify the range of distance where the object canbe placed in front of mirror. Give reason for your answer. (ii) Will the imagebe bigger or smaller than the object? (iii) Draw a ray diagram to show the image formation in this case.

Solution :(i) Object should be PLACED at <40 cm (less than 40 cm) in FRONT of the mirror, i.e. between FOCUS and pole, as concave mirror forms a virtual, erect and magnified image when object is placed between focus and pole.
(II) Image will be bigger than the object.
