Solve : 64 bit help?

I have win 7. 64 bit home

And I just got ITUNES 64 bit and when I INSTALL it it wants to go into
c"\program files\x86

I THOUGHT x86 folder is just for 32 bit programs how does this work?

And I know I can put it in program files and not x86 but will this hert it?

Please tell me wht it is for the x86 and why
