Answer» I have Windows 7, 64 bit and I downloaded and installed 7 zip. I cannot get it to unzip 7zip files. I hooked up my old COMPUTER with Windows XP and it works fine. What did I do wrong? What have you tried, what happened, and what did you expect to happen?I always FACE this problem and the workaround I have found is: Even if you installed 7zip on windows 7, be it 64 bit or 32 bit. You have to LAUNCH the 7zip application by right clicking on it and select "Run as Administrator" Select Yes in the following window. When 7zip is LAUNCHED, go to Tools >> Options>> click "select all" and click apply and ok to close that window. Now it should work. |
