Solve : a vertical design for a letterhead in Word??

Answer»

I have a vertical design that I want to use to make a letterhead in Word. I don't want it to be editable so when someone types in their letter, they cannot move it or delete it. The header/footer OPTION only allows at top and at bottom horizontally! Can the footer be made vertical for EXAMPLE? Or another solution? Thanks!

With the header panel open, click on Insert (MAIN menu), Text Box, and enter text vertically in the Text Box.  Will that WORK?

Alternatively, you might create a image with Paint containing vertical text, and then insert it into your header.Although the header and footer are at the top/bottom of the page, you can insert an image or text box into a header or footer, that appears ANYWHERE on the page.  Once you've got it where you want it, exit the header/footer view and then adjust the document's margins to suit.
