FSB speed Download Everest Home Edition Under Computer--motherboard-cpu; it will tell all. Is this your motherboard? You appear to have a PIII-Slot 1 processor, 600MHz is about the max, unless you get a Socket 370 to Slot 1 adapter (known as a Slocket). Whatever you do, the integrated video will limit the performance for game playing. I would recommend a different computer for gaming. If your computer doesn't meet the minimum specifications for the game, chances are high that upgrading it won't do a whole lot of good.Yes it is the same motherboad i took ALOOK its the same i could not look under the motherboad i didn't have no screwdriver to undo it i downloaded everest corporate edition the only one i found ain't got a clue what thats for anyway i guess its a new computer for me then!!Quote Yes it is the same motherboad i took alook its the same And buying a new PC will somehow make you understand? Your Dell OptiPlex GX1 with 600MHz processor supports up to 768MB of memory.600 Mhz is it. This is not a gaming platform. There is no AGP slot, so you will have to get by with PCI. The IDE bus speed is 33 Mhz. not ATA-100 or 133 as on newer machines. The max ram is 768, but not just any SDRAM that you might buy today will work. Get the picture? It is a business machine. They are very stable, but the kind of games you want will not work. For what you would spend attempting to upgrade, you could make a downpayment on a gaming platform, or buy an XBox.Hi i'm back i've downloaded home edition my motherboard id is motherboard chipset is-----Intel82440bx/zx i don't know what i'm looking for my maximum clock is 800mhz don't know if that is what i can upgrade to or not memory timing is 2-2-2-? i did a report each box was ticked so what do i do? I'm telling you a GX1 will not do this. Some ahave had luck with a powerleap converter, but that gets you about a 1 Ghz. celeron and is over $100. As I said you do not have a gaming platform and expandability is limited. If you use it for basic tasks, virtually everything except gaming, you have enough already.i downloaded everest home edition opened it up i clicked on everest at the top of the menu on the left and i did a Quick report-all programs and looking down the pages i found processors / processor #1 under it it goes processor properties: manufacturer intel external clock 100mhz maximum clock 800mhz current clock 600mhz type central processer voltage 3.3 v status enabled upgrade slot 1 socket designation microprocessor re build a new one>>http://www.buildyourowncomputer.net/learntobuild.html |
