Solve : Adapter light goes off when I connect it to the laptop?

1.	Solve : Adapter light goes off when I connect it to the laptop?
Answer» It seems that there is some issue with the motherboard of my Dell INSPIRON 1520 , when I connect the power adapter to it , the Led light goes off and it never turns on tried power RESET , reset the rams Any SUGGESTION would be very helpfull !!!Why do you think it is the motherboard? What else happens? Does it work on battery? If it it does not work on battery only, consider this suggestio.: Some Dell models will work without the battery. Mine will. If your laptop works normally with the power adapter on but the battery removed, then the battery is failing or is dead.Is this a REPLACEMENT adapter ? ?
