Solve : Adobe Reader and Outlook 2007 problem? |
|
Answer» Hi all, I have Adobe Acrobat 9.1 installed on my windows based laptop. When I use the email function in Adobe Acrobat after the email is sent a message balloon POPS up saying that Adobe acrobat has stopped working and DEP has shut down the program. My default email programme is outlook 2007. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee help I don't use Vista, but you might try excluding either or both (Acrobat and Outlook) from DEP. In your topic title here, you say "Adobe Reader and Outlook 2007 problem" but in your post, you say "Adobe Acrobat". They are not the same software. So, which of them do you mean? Thanks for the replies. I really appreciate it. Sorry my mistake. The same issue arises with both adobe reader and adobe acrobat. Anytime I try to exclude it under DEP it says that it is not POSSIBLE to exclude Adobe from DEP. Any other suggestionsHave you a WORKAROUND? Adobe is a moister program and I avoid it altogether. I use the old version 6, which may be the last usable version they made. Can you not just save your WORK and send in as an attachment in your favorite e-mail program? Thanks Geek-9pm That is what I am currently doing. I was hoping that there would have been a way of fixing it. You might try disabling DEP altogether. See http://www.realtime-vista.com/administration/2007/04/disabling_data_execution_preve.htm for some discussion of this.
