Solve : Alternatives to popular music/video programs?

Answer»

Are there are [free] ALTERNATIVES to the following programs available?

  • Quicktime
  • Realplayer
  • WinAmp

If yes, where do I obtain them and how well do they function? I only need to be able to OPEN files that use the extension normally reserved for use by that program, not any of the additional functions.I think this will MAKE me look really stupid, but I might have missed your question... Aren't all of those programs you have listed free? (Probably missed the question... lol )

[glb]Flame[/glb]These programs are indeed free, but I know there are alternatives available that will play these extension. I do not like to have Quicktime on my system installed as it is too dominant. Realplayer is considered spyware and I am not very fond of WinAmp.

I once came ACROSS a website that had alternatives to both Quicktime and Realplayer, but I seem to have misplaced the bookmark or lost it.Heres' a replacement for the realplayer virus.

I haven't used this one so I can't comment on it.

Both programs work like a CHARM. Thank you.

Would you happen to know a good alternative to WinAmp as well? Or a .MPC to .MP3 converter.Again I have no idea if this is any good.
