Answer» Is it okay to use numerous anti viral, anti spyware etc. PROGRAMS on ONE computer, or can they overload everything when used together? it is safer to load up a lot of programs?Conflicts can arise if you install more than one anti-malware program, best to stick with one of each type, firewall, anti-virus etc.
On these forums you will find various recommendations for Zone Alarm Firewall and AVG for anti-virus both of which are free. Other contributors will recommend different programs, the choice rests with you.
Good luckIt's a mistake that you have too many antispyware-malware on your computer, because it try to make similar functions at same time, you have to uninstall and take a descition about what antispyware use. I have a greatest experience with panda software and it's not expensive www.pandasoftware.com.
Best wishesYou should have only one software firewall running on your computer...more than one may cause system instability and SUBSEQUENTLY cause the computer to crash.
The same goes for antivirus protection...
You can have more than one anti-spyware program installed, but it is wise to have only one actively scanning your system. The choice is up to the end-user...If You do not trust one aniti-vir enough, you can use one of them for real-time protection and another for occasional scanning of your system. I use avast! as a real-time protection and additionally scan my system with ArcaMicroScan from time to time. ArcaScan found something that avast! had omitted a few times, but this does not happen very often. As for Panda mentioned above, it doesn't work well on slower computers (at least that's my experience with it).
