Answer» Fraps is neat and all, but when i TRY to record while playing Battlefield 2142, my fps GOES down from 50-60 to less than 20, thus aiding in me being severely owned. Is there another program i can use that doesn't rape my fps?I don't know about any other recording software but I would try reducing the graphics SETTINGS in the game.i tried putting the graphics on low settings but i hover around 20-25 fps while recordingThis is more or less excepted. I used to use Fraps to MAKE machinima for Halo PC. Every time I use it, the FPS goes down. I would imagine this is because Fraps is using a lot of PROCESSING power to record the gameplay.well i hate it. if i could find one that doesn't munch the crap out of my processor, that would be awesome.
