Answer» I've been using Miranda as a messenger for AIM and Yahoo, but its starting to bother me with the way it doesn't pop up messages automatically. It just flashes them in the system tray. ANYWAY, does anyone know of a good universal IM'er besides Trillian or Miranda? I need something basic, but not as basic as Miranda 'cause I don't want to install fifty thousand plug-ins to have basic functionality. Its resource usage varies, I have seen it below 10MB but MINE is SITTING at 23MB of RAM right now. Surely you can SPARE the RAM from either of your machines? I never noticed Pidgin's resource usage on one of my other machines with 256MB RAM.
