In my documents/download folder there is a long list of update set-up files for various programs - all have been dealt with.
Do I need to keep these or can I now delete them safely? You may delete them if you wish. Thanks for reply and advice. What documents/files/folders? You need to specify the file types or IMPORTANCE to make sure it will not HURT the system. Quote from: jason2074 on January 20, 2011, 10:51:58 AM

If drive space is not an issue, you might keep the more important ones just in case you need to reinstall.  It could save you the time of searching for, and re-downloading, those files if they are NEEDED again in the future.  On my Windows XP computer, I kept downloads on a separate partition and kept many of them for a long time. Just SEEN further posts - thanks for those.
I only deleted the items that I knew were update applications.  I kept those I was unsure of.
