Solve : audio driver for vista ?????

Answer»

I just bought vista ....yes the driver - evil OS
I upgraded from XP and now I have no sound driver. I looked inside and it seems to be built in to the motherboard. I have no idea how to resolve this although I have a drivers disc that came with the PC (this is only for XP home edition)

Heres the Dxdiag if needed

Is it possible to contact the motherboard manufacturer to see if they have developed a Vista driver?

Though you shouldn't have to do this, is it in your budget to buy a sound card you can install in the computer that has Vista drivers?First DOWNLOAD here: http://www.techspot.com/drivers/driver/file/category/10/ should do.
Your audio - Intel High Definition Audio (Azalia) based on the Realtek ALC880 codec
