Solve : Audio or Video Driver Issue??

Answer»

PC was running FINE. Then I installed a game called Banished. Since installing that game, everything is fine while I'm PLAYING it, but afterward, audio sounds LIKE it has an overlay of static that starts softly and grows worse over TIME, eventually becoming intolerable. Also, videos play fine for a few minutes then the video and audio lose sync.

Win 10 (64)
AMD A10 with Radeon R7 on motherboard

The staticky SOUND is much worse when multitasking.

Is this an audio driver issue or graphics issue?I suspect it's a game issue...and before you installed that game, all was fine?
and if you reboot the PC, all is fine UNTIL you start playing that game again?
Try to update the audio driver from the device manager. It works for me I hope it will work for you as well. Quote from: albertswiley on July 08, 2018, 06:22:45 AM

It can be fine if its just simple audio drivers. However I can see your point on most other devices, using the vendor's drivers is preferrable. So it can be fine...but not preferable ? ?If its just audio coming from the motherboard, windows will have no issue finding audio drivers that will work. On the off chance that it doesn't, OP can go to the motherboard manufacturer's website to get new ones. The only time I wouldn't recommend using device manager for audio drivers is if they have a sound card or amp.You could try updating both audio and graphics. It doesn't hurtsure would be nice if the OP bothered to update us? Dont hold yer breath...
