AutoHotkey is a GPL tool for WINDOWS. It evolved out of a need for C++ programs to send keystrokes. Presently it is a functional programming tool by itself. The source code is written in C++ and it is available in 32 and 64 bit versions.
AutoHotkey is simple enough that many USERS and PUT it to work with little knowledge of programming. Yet AutoHotkey can do some powerful things with the Windows API.
It is classified as a Ky board Macro language, like AUTOKEY. Very much like AutoKey. In fact, it is a new variant of AutoKey.

I use autohotkey to make my windows computer's keyboard behave as a Mac keyboard (swapping control keys)
