Solve : Automatic F11/Maximized Web Page Annoyance?

Answer»

Hello, I love trying new software utilities; often deleting them and trying new ones. One of them had an option of automatically maximizing every web page I opened. Now, I can't stop it and it's very annoying. Is their someone who can resolve this for me? It waould be appreciated. NOTE: I have Windows XP - SP2 running on a Dell Inspiron B130 laptop. Thank you.Wait, what exactly is the problem? What program is it? Can't you uninstall it?I am no longer sure as to what utility I installed and SUBSEQUENTLY uninstalled that I used the option: each web page that opens, my laptop displays them in maximized view. This simply means that I have to push F11 in order to have a normal display with my taskbar and TOOLBAR to be present.  I apologize if my conveyance of my problem was unclear.  Oh ok, F11 = Fullscreen.

What Internet Browser are you using?I use Internet Explorer on Windows XP SP3. Thanks for your efforts.Hmmm....I did a search online but it didn't turn anything up.
What IE VERSION?

Try this:
Open Internet Explorer, get out of Full Screen.
Hold the CTRL key while going to File --> Exit.
Now re-open the browser and see what happens.

If that doesn't work,
Since I don't use Internet Explorer, I recommend you wait till someone with more experience comes along.  HI, I tried your suggestion and it did not work; honest effort. I use IE7. I guess this is just one of those quirky things we have to live with until the day comes where is corrects itself or I run across info that will cure it. Have a great summer.Did you try System Restore? Quote from: Carbon Dudeoxide on July 29, 2008, 08:30:13 PM

I would say if this suggestion didn't work then the software is probably still installed that is making them 'Full Screen'. Are you sure you removed it? I really thought I had. Apparently the profram still has an active exe file commanding this action. I'm simply going to go to:  Search - How big is it?- Smallest To Largest File/Folder - This should smoke it out. Although this will be tedious, it's a good idea to thin things out every once in a while. Thanks for the assist.
