I purchased Webroot Spysweeper(antispyware) and Paretologic RegCure (Registry Cleaner) a few months ago.  Until recently, both PERFORMED automatic scans at the times I set in both programs.  Now, both programs will only work if I do a manual scan.  The WINDOWS Task Schedular is still set to let these programs perform automatic scans, but they don't.  I am also runnning Sunbelt Vipre antivirus and fire wall.  The antivirus still runs its automatic scans. and neither of these programs indicate they are blocking any function of Spysweeper or RegCure.  My operating system is Windows XP Pro.  What can I do to get both of these programs FULLY functional again and perform automatic scans as they did for months until recently.

Make sure that your windows updates are current...completely remove each program and reinstall , then see whether the auto update features return...Regcure is not a recommended product,...registry cleaners tend to be scams or ineffective, but that's another issue altogetherKarnac:

Thanks for the info.  I thought that an uninstall/reinstall would fix this problem, and I have done that on both of them.  Both programs still have the same problem, no automatic scans.  Is it POSSIBLE that after both were working properly for months, that they have just begun to block each other?  Is there anything else I can try?

beachguy Anything is possible, ... maybe delete them from the Windows Task Scheduler and enter one, see if it works, then add another, looks like a conflict somewhere, so you'll have to trial and error the process......is there any programs that have been added SINCE these problems started to act up...if so remove them and see if the problem persists.Thanks Karnac,
I will go back to Windows Task Scheduler and try your suggestion.Using registry cleaners is a very bad idea, and it's possible beginning of your problems.
