Answer» AVG free antivirus runs a scan each day. Since I started using Online Armor free firewall I get a message in the AVG RESULTS so I am guessing this is connected?
"Reading Error" "Kernal32.dll" "User32.dll" "ntoskrnl.exe"
"Hosts change"
Is any of the above of importance as I have no idea what it means? AVG does finish the scan and say "No threat found" Thanks for any INFO on the above.
I have: WIN XP Pro AVG anti virus AVG anti Root Kill AVG Anti spyware A Squared AdAware Spyware Blaster Spyware Guard RemoveIt ThreatFire Win Patrol Online Armor free firewall FireFox Thunderbird
Looks like your firewall isn't allowing access to those files since they're protected. You'll need to configure your firewall so it will know AVG is a TRUSTED program, or just IGNORE the error.
Um... on a side note... why so many protection programs? It's not really necessary to have so many. You should allow the access in the firewall....AVG writes to those files on each scan and this is perfectly normal behaviour. Thanks for the information. I have looked through the settings for the firewall, but as I cannot see that it is blocking AVG, but will go through it again.
