Solve : AVS help?

Answer»

I have an Aluratek HD Cinecam.  I extracted the video clips from it and they COME in the extension *.MOV.  They are fairly choppy when watching them using any program like VLC or QuickTime.  I'm trying to convert the *.mov file to anything like an AVI or mpeg...i select the file I want called AMBA0005.MOV "input File name", which is only 34 seconds long, I select the "to AVI" also TRIED "to MP4"....save the output file to the desktop just naming it "123".  And I press convert.  It seems like its doing something.... I press advanced while its trying to convert...and the window says "The preview is unavailable.  The program is preparing the data for CONVERSION".  Below this it says, Elapsed time which is currently at 34 minutes and counting.  should it take this long to convert  a 34 second clip?? Under the Remaining Time section its completely blank "Remaining: --;--;--".  What am i doing wrong??

Thanks

Im using the newest version AVS Video Converter 7.11) try to restart your computer and run it again.
2) if the option doesn't work try to reinstall the AVS converter.

reply for an update

thanks.yeah I've done both....i emailed them directly and see what they have to say hopefully within the next 24hrs
You MENTIONED having VLC. If the AVS doesn't work, you can USE VLC to convert videos. It doesn't always work right though.
