Solve : Backgrounding a folder (windows)?

Answer»

OK, I've know for some time, that the desktop is just a open FOLDER, with out back, forward, that thing on the side(If you don't have XP/vista it wont be there), and so on. This folder has a picture though instead of the white background.

So is it possible to get a programme that can add a background to any folder, I know you can make folders TRANSPARENT with some graphics cards (mine can) but it looks stupid.

So, to conclude, can you get a programme that can add backgrounds to a folder/folders

Like this (done with PHOTOSHOP)
What you have to do is edit your Desktop.ini file (enable system files to see it).

Here's a program that makes it very easy...

It also lets you customize the folder's icon and information tooltip. Quote from: CBMatt on June 05, 2007, 12:33:51 PM

I tried downloading it, put it says
Component 'Comdlg32.ocx' or one of it's DEPENDENCIES not correctly registered:
 a file is missing invalid

Thats when I tried to install it.You might want to take a look below...

The file on your computer may be missing or corrupt.  If the file exists on your computer, you may want to back it up before following the instructions on that PAGE.
