What does defrag have to do with compression?

I guess what I'm saying is you know the windows defrag in xp how it shows the blue lines? I want a want the best free defragger out there that can SHOVE the data as far to the left as possible. Better then Windows can do.Try SmartDefrag: http://www.iobit.com/iobitsmartdefrag.htmlKeep in mind the graphical interface is not an accurate description nor representation of what the defragger is doing...
MANY pretty pictures but innaccurate results.Ahhhh...you spoiled my link If he wants a nice graphic, install Windows 98 on a FAT32 and use the tools in windows 98. As I recall, it looked so cool seeing the sectors move from here to there. You could SPEND hours doing this. Then spend more hours testing to find out how much time you could save if things loaded faster and you would not be wasting hours on front of the computer. SmartDefrag shows a similar graphical representation. And, no need to install Windows 98 on a FAT32.

The only utilities i know of that will show where files reside on a HDD do not have a graphical interface...
