Answer» I've just installed a brand new cdrw in my tower. When I go into MY COMPUTER I do not see the new driver ICON or my DVD ICON from the driver, that was ALREADY installed. I had PUT the installation disk in the CDRW, but without the ICON I couldn't do anything. How can I add the new hardware to the computer so it will read it. ThanksIs the drive jumpered correctly? Both the existing drive and the new drive if it is a second must be jumpered appropriately. If two drives, pick one to be the master (MA) and one to be the slave (SL). The jumper pins on the back by the power cables must be SET. Then HOOK it back up, and go into the BIOS/setup screen to see if both drives are recognized - adjust as needed. What computer make/model?
