Solve : BSOD Errors and I'm Pulling My Hair Out, Nearly Bald Now! Help Me Please.?

Answer»

Hi guys,
I've recently had this machine cleaned by Superdave, what a star, but I'm still getting reasonably regular random re-boots and the occasional BSOD. The re-boots are totally random, sometimes I'm not even at the machine, sometimes I'm clicking onto a different page etc, etc, etc.. The machine will just turn off and immediately turn back on and leave me at my desktop with all progs closed!
This can happen 2 or 3 times in an hour and then not for a week or two, there is no pattern what-so-ever.
I've tested my hardware, as best I can, using MemTest86+ and Windows Memory Diagnostic and everything seems to be fine.
Maybe it's a software issue? Superdave recommended posting here, so I have.
The last two BSOD's were on Oct 24th & Nov 2nd.
Oct 24th gave me the following fault code;
0x00000001 (0x004D0052, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x806E7A2A0)
Nov 2nd said BAD_POOL_HEADER and was fault coded;
0x00000019 (0x00000020, 0x88EF0000, 0x88EF0768, 0x88ED12F8)
Not a CLUE what this all means, but it's driving me mental.
I know you guys are the best, just wondering whether or not anyone would be kind enough to help me.
Yours in anticipation,

Slime. Here is a post from another forum that purports to solve the problem as associated with your Nov.2nd incident. Please see if it helps. Appears to be driver related.

My System
   Re: BAD_POOL_HEADER
Quote: The system is using the generic video driver. Please install video driver provided by the hardware manufacturer. Direct3D functionality not available. You should verify that the driver is a final version from the hardware manufacturer.
 Sound Tab 1: No sound card was found. If one is expected, you should install a sound driver provided by the hardware manufacturer.

The BSOD points to missing or corrupt drivers.
 If you can boot the computer into Safe Mode with Networking and go to Start/Run and type devmgmt.msc and press enter. In the Device Manager all of the devices with yellow marks need to have drivers installed. You can download the drivers from  this Dell site on an Internet computer and save them to a USB flash drive. Install the Chipset Driver first, then Network Adapter. Once you have internet return to this page and download Video, Sound and any others needed in the Device Manager directly.
 If this fails, Boot off of the Windows Disc Or download the  Recovery Console ISO. Burn it to CD with  IMGBURN Boot off of the CD and get to the  Recovery Console. Here type chkdsk /R and press enter. The Check Disk utility will try and fix any file errors.
 You can also download the ISO image for Seatools, WD DataLifeGuard or Drive Fitness in my signature and burn the image to a CD using IMGBurn also in my signature and boot off of the newly created CD and run the Quick and Advanced tests on the HDD to test the INTEGRITY of the drive.

Here is another link that deals with this issue as well.You need to read starting about midway down the page where specific solutions for both hardware and software issues causing this error message are dealt with.

truenorthJust an update for those who are interested.
Two more BSOD's with info as follows;
6th Nov.
0x0000007F (0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000). Not much there then!

7th Nov.
0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0xBF802329, 0xA8950C90, 0x00000000). It also had this near the bottom of the screen,
win32k.sys - Address BF802329 base at BF800000, Datestamp 4ff2f633.

Any ideas anyone, it's driving me mad.

Thanks guys,

Slime. With respect it would be appropriate for you to relate to the suggested actions by yours truly of Nov 2nd as to what you did and what were the results. At the moment with your reiteration of the problem without commenting on the referenced post it is as if you ignored it. Of course that is indeed your prerogative but if that is the case we need to know that so as we can govern our future replies accordingly.truenorthDownload BlueScreenView:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html
unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe to run the program.
when scanning is done, go to EDIT - Select All
Go to FILE - SAVE Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all of the content, and paste it into your next reply
