Solve : built a com now stuck?

Answer»

I decided to try and build a com.i am using BIOSTAR A760G M2+ AM2+/AM2 AMD 760G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard...AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Windsor 3.0GHz Socket AM2 125W Dual-Core Processor Model ADX6000CZBOX......OCZ SLI-Ready Edition 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ2N800SR4GK.these 3 parts came as a package deal.when i turn on the system and i get a screen that says windows was not started successfully because of a power failure or it wasn't shut down correctly.on the same screen it gives you a few choices....to start in safe mode....runs windows normally and a couple other options.after not selecting any of those it goes to a blue screen and this is what it says:

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
If this is the first time you have seen this stop error screen restart your computer. If this screens appears again follow these steps.

check for VIRUSES on your computer.Removed any newly installed hard drive and drive controllers.Check your drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated.
Run CHKDSK/F to check for hard drive corruption and then restart.

Technical Information
***SYOP 0x0000007b(0xBACC3528,0xc0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000)

When i put this all together and took my drive that has my xp on it(from the old com that i am using to write this)it said that windows was corrupted.I also get this message when i removed that drive.i get the same message when i try to load windows on the new drives and when i put in the disc with the drives on it that came with the mothboard.

I hope i gave enough info here and hopefully someone can save me.In case you need to know i have 2 1 TB drives,1 500GB drive and a 320GB drive in there now and none of them have windows on it.the 320 is the ata the other 3 are sata.
thank you for any and all help

Update....disconnected ata drives and tried to load windows and nothing happen.the same results when i try to load the drivers that come with the motherboarsYou can't simply move a Windows HDD from one machine to another and expect it to boot properly...
It's been this way since WinME.

Repair Install of XP

I suggest reading it thru first and also printing out a copy for REFERENCE...

Done properly all your data and apps will be intact...
Done improperly all your stuff will be gone but you will have a fresh install of XP...

When finished remember to install all your drivers starting with the MBoard chipset drivers FIRST.

Best of Luck.
