in the device manager screen my built-in infrared device has a yellow exclamation point next to it and my screen is blurry. HELP how do i fix this? when i reinstall it doesnt help it stays the same We have absolutely no idea about the computer, operating system or specs. Have you checked the eMachine site for drivers for that?the MOTHERBOARD went bad on my computer and i put a new one in but the drivers wernt the same so i had to put windows 2000 PROFESSIONAL on it and the restore cd's wont work with the new motherboard and no emachines dont have driver downloads on there website. it is a desktop. and i lost my windows xp disk that came with it. how do i fix the built in infrared thing so it will be normal again.

You are right that the restore CD's from eMachines will NOT work on another motherboard. If you have a Win2000 CD, you can use the Upgrade Edition of XP (about $100). The drivers for eMachine are irrelevant now as well, that's why we need to know what kind of equipment is in there. Infrared may not even be an option on the new motherboard.
