Solve : Bypassing windows printer drivers? |

Answer» HEY lads, I'm new to this site and I hope you can help me. I am trying to install a several network printers in an XP machine SP2. Anyway I can find the printer and add it find the problem is that windows keeps installing it's generic printer drivers and won't let me browse the CD to choose the manufacturer's drivers. there is no option anywhere in the printer preferances the updated the printer dirvers. Any help WOULD be appreciated. Thanks HillyOk so I got one installed because I knew the port number for the large format Epson. At the moment I am stuck tring to install a RIP on THEE XP machine. The RIP is conected to an NT server machine. How can I find the port or even the IP address of the rip so that I can add it as a network printer on this XP machine. Am I MAKING any sense at all ?
