Answer» i am being urged by a professional computer expert to DOWNLOAD free versions of Regfix and C/Cleaner or other similar utilities to clean up the registry etc and wonder if anyone has experience of any of these and their uses and what result they found. they SEEM to claim abilities to REPAIR or fix many faults or computer crashes. thx in anticipation. walter.CCleaner is very good and is SAFE to use; I use it. You'll see it often mentioned in a positive light in this and other computing forums. I'm not familiar with Regfix. Ditto Soybean. I set up CCleaner on all my clients BOXES and for personal use I use Registry Mechanic. Alan <>< i use ccleaner as well. i downloaded it for a friend and did a scan...he had 4GB's of crap!!!!!!!!
