Solve : Can a computer work without a CD-RW drive??

Answer»

The Title kinda says everything. Okay, I'll explain the situation...
I have two computer at home and I took out the Cd-Rw drive of one to place it on the other one...
but when I started the Computer from which I had taken the Cd-Rw drive out it said that...
I couldn't boot the computer without the drive...

Is it NECESSARY to have a Cr-Rw drive?
Can we make a computer WORK without it?
Please, guys, help me. Thanks in advance! What is your boot order in the BIOS?, if it is CD first, try changing it to hard drive first and see if that cures your problem.Thanks... but...
If my other computer has Linux on... does... it change anything? No. The bios loads long before your system knows what your OS is. You probably need to disable the cd in the bios.It WORKED ... thanks a LOT!
Sure thing.hello,

yes, you can use your computer without cd-rw drive.it is not necessory to install it an always connect it to system.it's only for reading CD (compac disk) , it's not a part of  Hard drive & your operating system.so work on without cd-rom drive.
