Solve : can not read burned CD in WinXP?

Answer»

I burned a data cd on my older HP. I went to transfer the data to a Compaq but the CDRW will not read it or even see it in the drive. I did make the cd readable from any computer when I burned it. When I put the cd into the compaq it trys to start but never reads anything.

Anyone have any idea why the newer XP machine will not read the older Hp Cd WRITER plus disk? The XP Compaq will read and run comercially bought cd programs.

Thanks. You didn't finalise the burn...the contents of that CD can be accessed using ISOBuster.

What program are you using to burn with ? ?easy cd creator, came with my computer. I think I did finalize it. Went through the last screen where it ask if you want to use on other computers or leave as is to ACCESS through the drive LETTER. Then it closed and ejected the disk.Next time use Nero express works best for me. Quote
