Answer» I just had to reload Windows after a crash, and now I can't get the "tapping" option disabled for the mouse. I tried reinstalling the driver, and I tried installing the driver on the Synaptics website (useless...). I used to have options to do with mouse orientation and the scrolling on the side of the pad, and an option to turn off clicking but I can't remember how I got them there!! I am running Windows XP on an HP Pavilion 2840 laptop. I ALREADY have all the drivers provided from HP's website...After installing the OS you need to first install the chipset driver, then all other drivers. Did you do that?lol i have no idea ?? what's a chipset? ok so say i didn't do that, how do i fix that now?If you don't have the driver disc that came with your system, download all of the correct drivers for your laptop from the HP website and install them.I have ...
