Solve : Can't download Adobe Reader... can't find path?

Answer»

I had uninstalled a bunch of programs in an effort to solve my last problem of low disk space.  It SEEMS that I deleted Adobe Reader and WHATEVER programs it NEEDED to work.  I am trying to re-download Adobe but it gets to a point where it tries to remove an old version of Adobe but cannot find it...

"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable."

My laptop is part of a network at my home but I am currently not at home and will not be ABLE to connect to that network for a few months.  I can't get past this point.  Any suggestions??

Thanks

DanielleAdobe Reader is not worth its troubles, especially when HD space is at stake.
Get FoxIt: http://www.filehippo.com/download_foxit/
Smaller, and faster.can i use this to open pdf files that say they need acrobat??  If so, I will try it.

ThanksIt does exact same thing as Adobe.Awesome.  Did it and it works!  I love this website.  Thank you so much.

One other question...if you don't know, I'll post a new question.
My husband needs Java to open his stock charts.  Are there any other programs that might be better to use?  If not, do you know how to re-install Java.  It seems I deleted that as well...opps!

Thanks

DanielleYou can get Java here:
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp
Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 7
Uninstall all previous versions of Java through Add\Remove.Thank you.

I think the problem was that I deleted OpenOffice. and it seems to run Java...

Thanks again

DanielleIt works but each time I try to open the chart, it takes about 20 seconds while Upgrading Java Applet Cache.  Would downloading a different version avoid this happening each time the application is opened?

If so, will it automatically update from this version or do I have to manually uninstall old versions?

Thanks
danielleIt's not clear...
You deleted, or uninstalled Open OFFICE?
Java is a separate program, so uninstalling OO shouldn't bother Java.
You're trying to open charts with what?
Did you uninstall older Java versions?
