Solve : Can't find chipset drivers for my MoBo?

Answer»

Hello! I have a really old computer. My mobo is:

MODEL: nVidia-nForce
Chipset Vendor: NVIDIA
Chipset Model: nForce2 Ultra 400
Chipset Revision:C1
Southbridge Vendor: NVIDIA
Southbridge model: nForce2 MCP
Southbridge Revision: A4

I've been looking for that chipset driver for DAYS. I've tryied NVidia website but they do not have such driver listed.
Please! I am desperate... Please help me ;(It wasn't easy to find, but here it is:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/ntune_5.05.54.00.htmlSir! I would kiss you if there weren't thousands of miles between us.

I will download and test it tomorrow.

BTW: I still do need chipset driver if my computer has an exclamation mark next to "SM Bus Controller", right? Quote from: CENTURION on April 06, 2011, 04:37:06 PM

Yes.  SMBus (System Management Bus) controller will allow for real-time hardware monitoring, i.e. cpu temps, fan rpm's
The drivers were hard to find, because they weren't listed under Motherboards.  Used nVidia "search", & it was the 5th listing.

I THOUGHT nTune was only for graphics cards.  It certainly won't work on a motherboard without the SMBus driver.
That's not a very old computer, 2007?Oh wait... So I need SM Bus Controller to be installed if I want to get that chipset thing working?
I thought installing chipset driver installs SM Bus Controller as well.

Well. There's a sticker that says the computer was purchased in 2003. I think that's wrong because my machine seems to ancient.Well, I need to fix that exclamation mark next to SM Bus Controller under My Computer > Properties> Hardware> Device manager.

How can I do it?Bumping this because I really need help.I got it fixed. Thanks.
