Solve : Can't find chipset drivers for my MoBo? |
|
Answer» Hello! I have a really old computer. My mobo is: ...BTW: I still do need chipset driver if my computer has an exclamation mark next to "SM Bus Controller", right?Yes. SMBus (System Management Bus) controller will allow for real-time hardware monitoring, i.e. cpu temps, fan rpm's The drivers were hard to find, because they weren't listed under Motherboards. Used nVidia "search", & it was the 5th listing. I THOUGHT nTune was only for graphics cards. It certainly won't work on a motherboard without the SMBus driver. That's not a very old computer, 2007?Oh wait... So I need SM Bus Controller to be installed if I want to get that chipset thing working? I thought installing chipset driver installs SM Bus Controller as well. Well. There's a sticker that says the computer was purchased in 2003. I think that's wrong because my machine seems to ancient.Well, I need to fix that exclamation mark next to SM Bus Controller under My Computer > Properties> Hardware> Device manager. How can I do it?Bumping this because I really need help.I got it fixed. Thanks. |
