Answer» Hi. I'm new here, but I have a question. Every time I try to open mspaint, it shows me this error, in French: "Ce programme va être arrêté car IL a effectué une opération non conforme. Si le problème persiste, contactez le revendeur du programme." Basically, it says that it can't open because it did something that it wasn't SUPPOSED to do. We run on Windows 98. That's all the info I have, it's not my computer, it's my fiancée's. PLEASE help... I'm getting into my newest hobby: making paperbuses. Thank you.Try this. Go to Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs, and select the Windows Setup tab. Select Accessories and click the Details button at bottom. SCROLL down to Paint, uncheck it, and click OK. Then, REVERSE this procedure, thereby reinstalling Paint. I'm not sure but I think the Windows 98 CD may be needed.
