Solve : Can't update iPod Software?

I've INSTALLED iTunes 7 and it prompts me to update my iPod software when I connect the iPod.

But then it says that the iPod could not be updated because the firmware file could not be found.


What does this mean?It means it can't find the Ipod's software, I THINK..

Have you installed any non-Apple approvied software on your Ipod?what's the point of being updated??? there is nothing is going to CHANGE with your ipod... Quote

Uh yeah an ipod is hardware therefore new drivers will be released just like any video card or CHIPSET drivers etc...hardware always has UPDATES
Was everything okay before you installed itunes7?
