Answer»

Hi don't know if I am posting in the correct forum but here is my problem.  I have a hotmail account on my desktop and it works but on my laptop it doesn't.  I can log in but not able to make new mail or delete or infact do anything.  Any button I hit does absolutely nothing, so does someone have a suggestion.  I am running windows 7 using firefox and also chrome any other info let me know...........thanks..........two-dogs   Enable javascript in your browser? What is the operating system on the laptop? truenorthJava script was enabled and I have windows 7 ultimate.  Now I did notice that I am GETTING duplicate emails with me incredimail for some reason, and I can send emails with my internet explore but not my firefox..........   This issue seems to have become a problem when series 9 or 10 of Firefox are used in combination with Win 7 (and there seems to be an accentuated problem if the Win 7 June 2011 update has been done) Someone may come along that has a work around (probably if there is one it will be done from within Firefox). Alternatively you could try going back to an earlier VERSION of Firefox. Or if you need ANOTHER browser i use Opera and have for quite some time and have no negative comments about it..truenorthThanks truenorth I will try and go back to an earlier version of firefox, or try opra........two-dogs There are no problems using Firefox 10 and Windows Live mail ... Where did you get that information from?Raptor, From searching the issue on behalf of the poster on Google. The issue kept recurring and mostly remained unresolved even when suggestions for resolving it were provided. The specifics of the combination of the browser(versions) and win 7 were the dominant responses. truenorth Quote from: truenorth on March 11, 2012, 08:47:00 AM

I just used Windows 7 and Firefox 10 with Hotmail and it worked alright. Not superb but then again, it's Hotmail we're talking about; the most overrated email provider ever known to man.

Regardless of my fanboyism, Incredimail being present on that system alone tells me it's a mess. No SECURITY-conscious user would use incredimail. The problem most likely does not lie with Firefox, something is preventing it from working. All Hotmail does is serve the user with CSS, HTML and Javascript and a bunch of languages that Firefox has no problems interpreting.

This user should report to the spyware section so their system can be cleaned.
I have been using incredimail for years with out any problem, why is it unsafe to use as you SAY no security............two-dogs  Quote from: two-dogs on March 11, 2012, 09:53:09 AM

Of course you have.

I'd still recommend you head on over to the spyware section.
