Solve : Cannot Uninstall or Reinstall Java jdk 1.7.0?

Answer»

Hello,

I've been having issues getting JAVA to be recognized by certain programs and my internet BROWSERS and I have tracked
the issue down to an old installation of java.

I installed java jdk version 1.7.0 a few days ago, but I had to switch to version 1.6.0_27 for a programming class. I must
have deleted the files for 1.7.0 without actually uninstalling the PROGRAM. Now, all my programs/browsers attempt to
run java through the old 1.7.0 route and not my new 1.6.0_27 that is currently installed. I tried to uninstall 1.7.0 via
the control panel but I get "Error 1316. A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file C:\Windows\Installer\jdk1.7.0.msi"
which I have come to UNDERSTAND is a windows installation error. I tried to Install version 1.7.0 again to get the installation .msi file
which I must have accidentally deleted, but I get the same error from the reinstaller.

I have been trying to get rid of 1.7.0 or at least find a way to be rid of the registry entries from 1.7.0 so that my programs can use the
1.6.0_27 java instead. If there is any way to do this, I would be very grateful to hear of it.

Thank you very muchHave you tried removing selected java versions by using Ccleaner? Once installed, run Ccleaner and click on Tools and scroll down and LOOK for the Java software and Run Uninstaller. Or this, Revo Uninstaller
