finaly found i have a voodoo3 1000 BIOS version 2.15.05. graphics card downloaded driver which was zipped. unzipped it (i think) using winzip but cant open it or install it as my driver. except for goin mental, WHAT DO I DO.
im at a loss. :-?First download & run the Everest trial version to make sure exactly what your video card is.

Then if you are 100% sure you have the right drivers, come back & tell us.And make sure you get the right driver for your operating syste. Some are not supported with that card.without downloading another scanning program. surely by goin to dos and doing following shows my what card is in place. C:\>debug

one problem though. cant find driver for my card. its not listed. downloaded one for "3dfx voodoo series" but was just a text document. should i just search ownload sites for drivers for v3 1000 my version.
 i bodged this machine together from donor machines. the buildings ok but the brain is a different story.i appreciate the all the help. every day's a school day.What about here:

Surely you will find what you need.Yup. Google, thats a good idea. think i wiped something. what does   a "Wscript Error" message saying  ("There is no script engine for file extension ".rom") mean
take it i do have the right driver. my computer just can't read it?
Are you  trying that original download or have you downloaded somehing else? What is the exact error message and when does it occur?

Run Everest Home (free) to get the exact ID of that card, megs of RAM on it and provide O/S details and let's see what we find. What does it show on bootup for the card? Do we know for sure that it works correctly?

it occurs when i click on downloaded driver in WinZip. This is new download for exact driver. has to be.

I think you must have a BIOS upgrade there, not a driver, so I wouldn't worry about the first download.

I believe this was an OEM card that you have gotten. THese drivers are hard to find at best.

Good Luck and let us know.  Well that wasn't to hard. Well truth be told my friend brought own new driver for me. GF4 MX440SE 64MB DDRW/TV (wot a guy). Combined with the MEMORY he gave me, and the DDR400 motherboard from the old man..... Am laughin.

I'll be back with another problem in no time. Take it easy Thanks for posting back. Save the drivers with that card. They are getting harder and harder to find.  one step ahead. Learning from my past mistakes. Any chance you know how to load a l'espion mini digital camera (F2.8-3.9), by Digital Dream. Lost the driver cd ( for a change ). Downloaed the right one for camera from, Manugacturer page but when computer restarts after i install it, Nothing happens, No l'espion. how dya explain that, huh its a mystery. I'm away to try and find some help just now.
