when i go to my control panel and to remove programs it wont uninstall my pc cam. its a philips and doesnt work right now. i wanted to uninstall and reinstall with the cd that was included but i cant get anywhere. when i use the cd it gets stuck at the first step. sorry for any novice lingo What exactly is the name of the program you are trying to uninstall?
Does it say the CD is required to uninstall it?

TRY downloading CCleaner (install without Yahoo! toolbar) and configure it according to this guide. Use it to clean out your Temp files. Then click on the Tools button and try uninstalling your program from there.i do have ccleaner, to no avail. and no i shouldnt need the cd to uninstall, but it was an option i tried. still cant remove it. its philips cam and software. i contacted philipps and were of no help. thanks for your response though. underdogYou can also try traveling to Device Manager and make sure it is removed from there as well.
Another option is trying to uninstall in safemode
If it still doesnt work this way you may need to re-install the software temporarily and use it's own un-installer.

i would gladly use the cd and reinstall the software, thats my goal. but when i run the cd it gets stuck at the first step. "pc camera is preparing the installshield wizard which will guide you thru the rest of the setup process" and there i stay forever, never guides me thru anything. thanks guys, underdog
