Does the drive show in Device Manager without any errors?

Yes, if not there could be a Hardwear malfunction, or a cable could be faulty or disconnected, however i would caution you against opening it up, best to ask the GUY whats wrong if he "fixed everything"

Have you tried 'Download Guided Help' ?It's a little 127kb program
you download and run.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060Yeah i tried the guided help... Yes its in device MANAGEMENT or whatever...says no errors and its working properly but its notTry one of these:
1. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060
or...
2. http://aumha.org/downloads/cdgone.zip
or...
3. Go to Device Manager, click a "+" sign next to IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers.
You'll see two items:
- ATA Channel0 (or Primary Channel)
- ATA Channel1 (or Secondary Channel)
Right click on each of them, and click Uninstal. Confirm.
Restart Windows. They'll be automatically reinstalled.Did all of them. Still not working...if it helps, the only drives that show up in my computer are G,H,C, and DI guess, you're left with patio's advice.
