Answer» Download Intel Chipset Identification Utility from here: Neither XP nor Vista should need drivers for a CDRom or a burner.I've been trying to get him updates for his IDE controllers, not for his burner. You may be right about other stuff, anyway.The link you gave me didnt have anything for vistaWell, it looks like your system configuration may not support Vista. You upgraded from XP, right?
