Answer» Hi all, this is my first message to CH. I have been given a PC from a FRIEND and have several quaestions about different problems. Here is the first: The CD Rom drive works fine but it does not appear in Windows explorer. Is this to do with it USING the WRONG type of DRIVER or is it a non supported type? Perhaps uninstalling it from the Hardware management menu and resetting your computer will allow it to be redected by Windows.Yes, I have tried this but it is still not recognized? Have you looked for firmware or other TYPES of drivers?
