Solve : cd rom troubles? |

Answer» Every time I put a CD into my computer, it starts to read it and then my computer shuts down. It doesn't matter if it is an audio CD or and computer program. I don't know what to do. I've TRIED reinstalling the CD drive, but that didn't work. Any help WOULD be greatly appreciated.I have the sneaking suspicion here that we're going to need more info...I have the sneaking suspicion, that the drive is on its last legs.What other information can I give to help figure out the problem? The computer restarts itself. What else could I try?REPLACE both the IDE ribbon cable and the 4 pin Molex connector. |
