Solve : CDR-CDRW WON'T WRITE?

Answer»

all of a sudden my two cd disk won't write. i can read what i wrote last week. drive c and f are listed in my computer, but when i try to open them with a BLANK disk in, it says "drive not accessible". when i right CLICK on a file to write it does not give me the option to send to either of my drives. i used NERO to make a data cd and when it was done, i could not access the FILES on it. it says the same thing "drive not accessibel" i have tried several of the blank disk and it is from the same sony disks that i have been using.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, that worked on drive D. Drive E doesn't have the record tab in properties. But it is a dvd-cdrw. Of course that is an older one. I will replace it with another one I have here. I thought that it might be a bad cable inside and I was going to try that next. I still will look and see if they are both on the same cable or SEPARATE ones.
Thanks again,
JjonStreet1, oh maybe that drive E isn't a writer. I guess I have always written to drive D. I guess I'm getting old.
I still think it is time to put the dvd recorder one in.
Thanks.
