Answer» Well... I Googled it for a couple of hours but can't figure it out, I need to know how to make clickable links, example.. this---> http://codecs.com/movies/Flushed_Away.htm, is a link for a trailer of the movie Flushed away, so lets say I want to send it through e-mail to a friend but I would like that he clicks on that link or something else instead of the whole link like click here to see trailer and then it opens in a new page, I know its kind of a code and you put the original link in it and then it works but I couldn't get it to work, anyone GOT an idea would be niceDo you mean like this?
If that's all you want to do, then this is the code you need...
YOUR TEXT[/URL]
Just insert the site link and whatever text you want in the appropriate places, which will look something like...
Code: [Select]<a href="http://codecs.com/movies/Flushed_Away.htm">click here to see trailer</a> If you want the page to open in a whole new window, then add a TARGET="_blank" which will give you the following code...
Code: [Select]<a href="http://codecs.com/movies/Flushed_Away.htm" target="_blank">click here to see trailer</a> Click on this link to test the code out for yourself. And make sure HTML is enabled in your e-mail. Not all e-mail services support HTML coding.movie
What I'm I doing wrong?Look how I do it, exactly like you said and still it doesn't workThere you go...Oops! I didn't notice until now that the code was screwed up. I don't think the forum likes us using HTML like that. Heh. Sorry!
That picture you attached, however, is the correct way of writing the code (I'm glad you managed to figure it out). Did it work for you or are you still having trouble?

And again, I'm sorry about that first code turning out all screwy. I wish I would've caught that earlier. But like I said, it looks like you still got the right idea. Let me know if you're having any trouble. No it didn't work, I don't know what I'm doing wrongAre you trying to use this code in an e-mail? If so, who is your e-mail provider?I use yahoo, but I still tried the same using hotmail, gmail and my internet provider one and also some forums just to post anything but still can't get it to work, I went to the page you posted and did exactly like it said and still no luckHmm, that's really odd. E-mail can be a bit tricky because not all providers allow HTML in e-mail messages. Go to your options and see if there's an option to allow HTML messages. Also, keep in mind that your recipient might be able to view HTML e-mails.
As for that link I gave you...I don't know why it wouldn't be working; it works just fine for me. Perhaps you could try it one more time and take a screenshot of exactly what code you're entering? Remember that you need to click on the "Edit the text and click me" button.
I've attached a zip file. In it is a Notepad file with what the code is supposed to look like. I tested it myself on that site and had no problems.NOTE: I don't actually use Yahoo!, so I don't know if they support HTML or not. Being browser-based, I would assume they do, but I could be wrong. Anyway...if the HTML continues to not work, there is an alternative. A simpler method is SIMPLY writing your text (click here to see trailer), highlighting it with your mouse, and then clicking on the Insert Hyperlink button on the toolbar (look at the attached picture). In the window that pops up, enter the link and click on OK.
EDIT: I just tested the code on Yahoo! and didn't have any luck either. Unless anyone has a solution, you might just have to use that Insert Hyperlink button.
EDIT #2: Ah, I FOUND the handy dandy Insert Code feature and now my first reply isn't all wonky. Silly me. Forgive me, I'm very tired. Heh.I copied the exact thing you send me in the text file and send it to yahoo, gmail and hotmail but it was the same result... didn't work... look at the pictureI got it working perfect using Thunderbird, I love Mozilla, its so easy, just Ctrl+L and insert the name then the link and there you go... Anyway... thanks alot guys
